Abstract

We analyze the need for the inclusion of reinforcement pads on stub-in connections during the piping design of a raw gas processing plant. As reference, the ASME code B31.3 of process piping is used, primarily to identify the connections that require this external reinforcement, aiding in a better layout of the piping and assessing minimal distances between derivations.
