Aplicación del Índice de Integración Urbana en el Barrio San Martín, Ushuaia

Abstract

The present work consists of the applicability of a set of Urban Sustainability Indicators in the development of housing projects financed by the Argentine State. This battery of 17 indicators makes up the Urban Integration Index, which allows ex ante, to evaluate the measurement in the generation of sustainable habitat for intermediate-scale cities. The case study taken to exemplify the tool is the developing urbanization of the Gral. San Martín neighborhood located near the Pio River valley in the town of Ushuaia, province of Tierra del Fuego. The case is paradigmatic for its analysis given the territorial location and the transformations of the urban common land and its impact on areas of ecological interes
