Abstract

Due to the presence of quality failures in the sheet metal painting process, which manifest themselves repeatedly as surface defects, it was decided to develop a technological solution to this problem. The proposal looks for the implementation of equipment that maintains the necessary service conditions of the deflector rollers of a paint line. It is proposed to combine solutions for the steel industry, focus on processes with similar operating principles such as the paper industry. Also promoting the participation of experts in this sector to determine the most appropriate equipment to solve the need. As a conclusion, it is observed that the implementation of scrapers results effective and minimizes failures. The good results obtained allow us to think that it will be possible to develop the engineering to implement this solution in other sectors of the line.
