Incorporación de suelos contaminados con hidrocarburos en morteros cementíceos
Abstract
Hydrocarbon soils are wastes obtained from an oil industry in the province of Mendoza, detected in an industrial waste survey. This material is unconsolidated sandstone generated in large volumes for the extraction of heavy oil. The work aims to analyze the feasibility of recycling contaminated soils by incorporating them into mortars, evaluate the performance of the material and the impact on the environment. Compressive and flexural stren gth of mortars were evaluated, incorporating soils with hydrocarbons as a partial replacement of the fine aggregate. A leaching test of the curing water of the samples was carried out at 56 days of age. The incorporation of hydrocarbon soils in cement mixtures is a possible alternative for the final disposal of this waste without affecting the environ ment
