Neurodegenerative diseases as Alzheimer's disease (AD) leading cause of dementia worldwide, Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI) and possible precursor of dementia are highly prevalent diseases with a strong impact on the quality of life of the patient. Finding tools that allow an early diagnosis would provide the possibility of early treatment. Using the database of resting state Magnetoencephalography studies, spectral and connectivity methods were applied to study the development of new biomarkers that can be used for the early detection of AD and MCI. The results showed the existence of significant differences between the Control, AD and MCI groups on particular electrophysiological frequency bands. It is hoped that this analysis can be a complementary aid for the early diagnosis of these diseases in the clinical area.
