This article evaluates the thermal and energy characterization of the building of the Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Engagement Center (CiEV) of the Faculty of Engineering of UNER, located in Oro Verde, Entre Ríos. Based on simulations carried out with EnergyPlus, heat flows, thermal behavior and energy consumption were evaluated under various local climatic conditions. For the development of the computational model, aspects of energy efficiency were incorporated, including the analysis of electrical consumption and the proposal of optimization strategies such as the incorporation of solar panels, improvements in natural ventilation and techniques to mitigate solar radiation in summer. The results identified opportunities to improve thermal comfort and energy sustainability. Furthermore, the model employed constitutes a replicable tool for buildings with similar characteristics in the region. This study aims to contribute to the development of solutions applicable to the design and operation of energy-efficient buildings.
